Verizon iPhone Is Here!

The mythological creature is now here! Verizon announced that they will be taking the iPhone 4 onto their network.
Unfortunately, the Verizon iPhone will not be running on the 4G LTE network. The lack of 4G is most likely due to the fact that 4G still is not available in many places, and that 4G would run down the battery in an iPhone 4 faster than 3G. Hopefully we will see the 4G network and bigger battery capacity incorporated into the next generation iPhone.
The Verizon iPhone will look exactly like the regular iPhone 4 that runs on AT&T’s network, except, it will ditch the SIM card slot. The Verizon iPhone is CDMA compatible, and therefore it does not need the SIM card slot.
So when can you get your hands on a Verizon iPhone? Well, the Verizon iPhone will be available to pick up in your local Apple store on February 10, or if you are an existing Verizon customer, then you will have the option of pre-ordering the Verizon iPhone on February 3.
