So the Beatles are finally on iTunes! Most people think that it is dumb of Apple to make a big deal over it, but there's a bigger story behind it that many people don't know.
Here's the story:
In 1968 the Beatles started their own organization to release their albums under. They named their organization "Apple Corps". Then in 1976 Apple Computer was started. In 1981, Apple Corps sued Apple Computer, and what it came down to, was that Apple Corps would only be in the music business, and Apple Computer would only be in the computer business. That agreement worked for the next few years, until Apple Computer started making computers that made sounds. They tried to renegotiate, but they didn't get far. Then in 1989 Apple Computer started making computers with a Musical Digital Interface. Apple Corps quickly claimed that Apple Computer had violated their 1981 agreement. This led them back to court, and they finally made another agreement by 1991. Then in 2003, Apple Computer released iTunes. Again, Apple Corps claimed that Apple Computer had violated their last agreement. In 2007 they replaced their trademark agreement with Apple Inc.
After all of that, the Beatles are finally on iTunes.
